The Us Planner ("we," "our," or "the site") provides free, browser-based relationship-planning tools. This page explains, in plain language, what happens to your information when you use them.
We do not run a backend database
The Us Planner does not currently use a backend server or database to collect or store your relationship information. There is no account system, no sign-up, and no central server where the details you enter — names, dates, budgets, or check-in answers — are transmitted or retained. The tools run entirely as JavaScript in your own browser.
What browser localStorage is used for
Some tools offer an optional "Save" button (for example, saving your anniversary date, a reunion countdown, a favorite date idea, or a favorite conversation question). When you use one of these buttons, the information is written to your browser's localStorage — a small storage area that belongs to your browser, tied to this website, and kept only on the device you're using. We do not have access to this data, cannot see it, and cannot retrieve it from you. If you use a different browser or device, that saved information will not appear there, because it never left your original browser.
Clearing your saved data
Because everything is stored locally, you are always in control of it. You can remove it at any time by:
- Using your browser's settings to clear "site data," "cookies and site data," or "local storage" for theusplanner.com.
- Clearing your browser's cache and site data entirely.
- Using a private/incognito window, which does not persist localStorage after the window is closed.
Exact steps vary by browser — look for "Site settings" or "Privacy and security" in your browser's menu, then find theusplanner.com and choose to clear its data.
Future analytics, advertising, or email signup
At this time, The Us Planner does not run analytics, advertising, or email newsletter services. If we add any of these in the future — for example, privacy-focused analytics to understand which tools are useful, an advertising partner, or an email signup for relationship tips — those services may use cookies or similar technologies (such as pixels or local/session storage) to function. If that happens, we will update this Privacy Policy to describe what is used and why, and any such service will be added only if it is compatible with keeping this site lightweight and static.
Contact forms
Our Contact page currently displays a contact form for convenience, but it is not yet connected to an email-sending service — submitting it does not send us a message. Until that is connected, please reach us directly at [email protected].
Children's privacy
The Us Planner is intended for general audiences and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and since the site has no backend, no information is collected from anyone in the first place.
Changes to this policy
If our data practices change — for instance, if we introduce analytics or a real contact form provider — we will update this page and revise the "Last updated" date above.
